Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 21, 2026
These terms and conditions are the working agreement between Hood Cleaning Today of Windsor and the kitchen operators who use this website, request quotes, and book cleanings. They cover how quotes work, how scheduling and site access are handled, what the compliance documentation does and does not certify, and how insurance and liability operate on a job. They are written in plain language on purpose: a restaurant owner reading this at midnight after close should come away knowing exactly how hiring us works.
About this website
This website is operated for Hood Cleaning Today of Windsor to describe its commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning services and to receive quote requests. By using the site you accept these terms.
Quotes
A quote request submitted through this site or by phone is a request for a written estimate, not a contract. Written quotes describe the scope, the price, and what is included. Work proceeds only when a quote is accepted by the customer.
Informational content
Pages on this site describing NFPA 96, cleaning frequencies, and inspection practices are provided as general information for commercial kitchen operators. They are not legal advice and they do not replace the published NFPA 96 standard, the Ontario Fire Code, or the direction of the authority having jurisdiction for a specific property. Hood Cleaning Today of Windsor references the published NFPA 96 standard as the technical baseline for its work and is not affiliated with the National Fire Protection Association.
Pricing
Starting prices shown on this site are indicative for typical single-hood and multi-hood kitchens in the Windsor area. The binding number is always the written quote for the specific kitchen.
Scheduling and access
Cleanings are scheduled after hours around the kitchen's closing time. The customer agrees to provide access to the premises at the agreed time, including roof access where the exhaust fan is in scope. If access cannot be provided at the scheduled time, the visit is rescheduled; repeated missed appointments may carry a call-out charge stated in advance on the quote.
Documentation
Every completed cleaning includes a signed health and safety certificate referencing the NFPA 96 standard and a set of before-and-after photographs. These documents describe the surfaces cleaned on that visit. They are not a guarantee of the system's condition between visits, and they do not certify components that were excluded from the quoted scope, such as inaccessible duct sections noted on the certificate.
Insurance and safety
WSIB coverage and a certificate of liability insurance are provided before work begins. Crews tarp cooking and food-contact surfaces before applying any cleaning chemical, mask fire-suppression nozzles and electrical components, and leave the kitchen in food-ready condition. Any pre-existing damage observed inside the exhaust system, such as damaged fan bearings, missing access panels, or failed filter racks, is noted and reported to the operator rather than repaired without authorization.
Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, the liability of Hood Cleaning Today of Windsor for any claim connected to a cleaning visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ontario law.
Intellectual property
Content on this site, including the text of the service pages and the NFPA 96 guide, belongs to its operator and may not be republished without written permission.

Terms: frequently asked questions
Is a quote request a commitment to buy?
No. A quote request is a request for a written estimate. Work proceeds only after the operator accepts the written quote, and the quote states the full scope and price before anything is booked.
Can the invoice be higher than the quote?
The invoice matches the accepted written quote. If a crew discovers something on site that genuinely changes scope, such as an inaccessible duct section, it is documented, discussed, and only added with the operator's approval, never silently billed.
What if I need to reschedule a cleaning?
Call as soon as the conflict is known and the visit moves to the next available overnight window. Repeated missed appointments where the crew cannot access the kitchen may carry a call-out charge, and any such charge is stated on the quote in advance.
Does the certificate guarantee my kitchen passes inspection?
The certificate documents the surfaces cleaned on that visit, referencing the NFPA 96 standard. It is the record inspectors ask for, but it describes the system's condition on the cleaning date and does not certify grease accumulated afterward or components excluded from the quoted scope.
Who is responsible if something is damaged during a cleaning?
Hood Cleaning Today of Windsor carries liability insurance and provides proof before work begins. Pre-existing damage found inside the system is reported rather than repaired without authorization, and anything attributable to the cleaning itself is covered through that insurance.
